The Artist

I am an artist living and working in Cornwall. I am a fine art graduate having studied at Stoke on Trent College of Art and Gloucester College of Art. I have one man exhibitions in county and London.

The intention of my work is to make visible aesthetic experiences that one finds in nature. To provide a visual experience with the nuances, changes and possibilities that one finds in nature.

The pattern is the structure for formulating the experience. It is a neutral motif which I can use for my own intention. I often use the same pattern for very different works.

It is the complexity of designs which interests me and provides a framework with infinite possibilities on which to work.

All the works have the same underlying twelve pointed star pattern with a different surface pattern. The element of continuity together with the idea of pattern I can relate back to nature.
